I/my/me refers to the owner of the site, Terminal/termy.
Website/site refers to content found at (https://s.termy.lol/)
Thanks for choosing my link shortener! Here's the rundown.
Data Collection
When you visit the site, you agree to the data collection of the following:
- Your IP (Internet Protocol) Address
Please keep in mind that this sort of data collection is standard and all sites recieve your IP address no matter what, and if you would not like this data to be collected, please use a VPN (Virtual Private Network).
The IP address may be stored in Apache logs that are periodically deleted. (Usually every 1-2 months or less) Sometimes I enable logging, sometimes I don't. It is usually off.
However, nothing is done with your IP address when you merely visit the site.
When you create a link with my link shortener, you agree to the collection of the following for an indefinite period of time:
- Your IP (Internet Protocol) Address
- The link submitted
The IP address is stored in a database to log which network created a link, and blacklist it if needed.
When you create a link, you also acknowledge that your link may be deactivated and or deleted at anytime by me. This leads into the Usage Guidelines.
Usage Guidelines
A common reason on why a link may be deactivated or deleted includes but is not limited to (Which means I can remove it/deactivate it even if it isn't listed here, but I usually won't):
- It contains/leads to discriminatory content (sexist, racist, homophobic, xenophobic, etc.)
- It contains/leads to sites where malicious activity is its purpose or is to be expected for those who visit it
- Or it contains/leads to explicit content (like pornography, gore, etc)
Please keep in mind that I can deactivate or remove a link for reasons not listed above. (Hence "but is not limited to")
Data Removal Request
If you would like to request a removal of data collected about you, excluding for purposes like removing yourself from the blacklist/unblocking a link,
Please email [email protected]
In the subject line, please include "[DATA REMOVAL REQUEST]" and keep it at the front of the subject line to prioritize the reading of that email.
Include the IP address(es) you would like removed from the server and why in the body of the email.
If you are blacklisted but still want personal information removed, your IP address will be removed from all other places that is not required for the blacklist to function.
You will be sent a .txt file record to confirm that the personal information was removed and where that personal information was removed from. It will not include the data of the personal information that was removed. It will also contain a record of where personal information was not removed from and why.
I will keep a copy of this record for myself.
I will determine if the request is valid and remove the data ASAP.
Response times may vary. I try to check this email frequently.
